Okay okay...today was the official day that marks the end of my mid-years,including Chinese and all the irritating nitty-gritty things that come along with it,like listening comprehension(it was a SERIOUS waste of time...) *rolls her eyes* Same "hell-froze-over" conditions to bear with during the 3 hour paper in LT 5 with the aircon at full blast. Funny, they say it's impossible to sleep under sub-zero temperatures, yet I dozed off twice-once while trying to figure out how to copy and paste some comprehension answers from the passage onto the blanks, and later when I had completed the paper. And it's not just me! Bryan Chan was slumped on the table,so much so that it tilted in such a precarious position that it was a miracle his the junk on his desk did not fall off. And the girl behind me kept sighing so hard for the essay writing portion of the paper, but later the depressing sounds tapered off gradually until it was replaced by a slight snore that sounded like a steady hum of an old computer. Lol.
Chinese oral(yes, the REAL thing) in the afternoon at 2pm...The question was so sucky and I seriously wasn't in the mood to think-my brains seem to have been left behind in a frozen little package in LT 5. Plus I was so groggy that the words in the passage just don't seem to register. The conversation part was the killer-the guy with this permanent frown on his face asked whether I was a good environmentalist who brings my own plastic bags to the supermarket when I go shopping. How was I to know that you are supposed to act earth-friendly and say yes? Instead, being the ever-truthful and honest girl that I am,I gave him a blunt "No". The look on his face was one that have been slapped not only left, right,up,down but also punched in the center. He was stunned for a while, before regaining his composure and asking me why not. So I said, again keeping the virtues of honesty,"Oh,it's too mah-fan(troublesome)." And he gave that look again(which I'm starting to dislike. I mean,I'm sure your expressions can vary right? tsk tsk...) The rest was,how should I say, history. Stutters and incomprehensible words make up a large part of my conversation. All the best to my 'A' levels Chinese! *sighs*
